SKATE SCHOOL!!

We were very lucky to have Luke from Cheapskates come and teach us some basic skateboard and rollerblading skills.
The students put up with a cold wind and some sore bottoms and knees but a lot of laughs were had. Congratulations to Alice Thorp for getting the prize at the end. She was awarded this because she had quite a lot of big spills but kept getting up.

The Masks Created in Term 1

The students worked very hard in term 1 to create some unique masks to represent themselves.

Room 7's Back Wall

We have given a piece of our back wall to each student from our class. This is a place where students can demonstrate their learning and put up their achievements.

Intellectual Property

Team Electrify have been looking at what is meant by 'Intellectual Property' and the laws and moral issues around it.

A recent example is Levi Hawkin who came up with the catch phrase : "Nek Minit"

A  T-shirt company is now making these:

Do you think the T-shirt company should be giving some of the money to Levi Hawkin?

Is Rugby given to much importance in New Zealand?

I have great faith in knowing that rugby in New Zealand is not given to much attention or importance. Because rugby is not only what we play but who we are.

As Kiwis almost all of us have been brought up with rugby being part of our lives. The game can almost be like a celebration bringing everyone and anyone together.

Rugby could be called a type of culture for New Zealand. We fell in love with the game and haven't let go since.

So just like England have their soccer and America have their baseball, us Kiwis have the brilliant game of rugby.
