Japan earthquake

Jerked around to a rubble mess
Attacked by water ten feet tall
Panic spreads across the land
A power that can’t be controlled
Never will this country be the same

  1. A nice poem, Courtney. I like the clarity with which you've written it. You may want to alter the reference to "water ten feet tall" because the tsunami was a lot taller than that, and we would measure it in metres, not feet. You might like to do a quick Google search for the Japanese Tsunami, and you'll soon find how much bigger it was at its worst.
