100 Word Challenge

Today we used this prompt for our 100 word challenge. Read our stories below.

The Catch
As I drifted in my old rickety boat, I cast the line out over lake towards the lonely and dead trees in the middle. I had been waiting there for a while now. I was about to crack open some chip’s when there was a huge tug on my line. I started to reel the line in. The fish was getting closer and closer. I could almost tell what kind of fish it was! It started to jump! I grabbed the net - finally! That was a great catch for the first day.

Only one?
The water was unmoving as two men drove their boat out onto the lake, with a quiet putt putt putt. As they went to grab their fishing gear, the birds sang a beautiful song in the distance. The two men cast their lines out into the ocean, with a gift for the fishes on their hooks.
They tugged, as the fish do the same to the men’s hooks. The first man catches a big, large fish. The second, a large amount of small ones. The man with lots of small fish looks at the other and says: “Only got one, eh?”

The Trip
I’m at the lake with my friend Donovan. It was hard to see as the sun was piercing the mist in the valley and the air had a cool bite.
“We have to be careful” said Donovan.
“Why?” I asked. “Because there are squid piranha - look over there.” Eight sticks rippled the water.
“Look we’ll go have look, it will be nothing.” I said as the there was a large  …….

The Catch
The water was dead calm on the swampy lake. All you could hear was the birds chirping and the boat gliding along the water. Eventually the men  cast their lines out into the mist. As they sat waiting for the fish to bite they yapped about the fish that had got away.
Suddenly they had a bite, up they jumped wrestling to pull in the line. Jim grabbed the net swooped the fish up out of the water. Bob cut the wire with his knife and pulled the lure out to find lying in the bottom of their boat was a very large gumboot!

The Lake
The water ripples on the ever changing lake as the sun glared down upon the water. The drifting, lonely boat moored peacefully as the men drifted looking for the best spot. The sunshine was like a flare on the men's faces. The men cast their lines and waited knowing that anything could be down in the deep.

Fishing
It was a foggy melancholy morning, many people had died that night. People in air raid shelters, people who got in boats and went up river had drowned, only a few people that had gone in land or down river had survived. But that was not going to stop the fishermen from using it as an advantage. Loads of fish had been washed down from the Nazi fish farms up past the dam. The only thing that bothered them was that they were now fishing above their houses and streets that were now under water. The river drained!

Going Fishing
Knock! knock! Knock!, In my PJ’s  I went to open the door  and found  my friend. He started to snort his face off!
“What’s so funny?” I asked.
“It's you PJ’s!”
“There is nothing wrong with banana in pyjama PJ’s is there.
“No - anyway are you ready for the fishing trip in world war 101”?
“Yep I just need to get dressed, grab my bag, get my rod and get a AK47 for protection”. Finally we arrived in the dead land in the middle of a war.

Shadow Island
Two clueless men were fishing in the middle of a lake  when soon it became dark and the man decided to take shelter at an island. They docked the boat and stepped onto the island, but what they didn't know is that there was someone in the trees was watching them. They headed deeper  into the forest to find shelter but all they could  find was a sign telling them to turn back now . They carried on walking and came to a door in a cliff. They opened the door to find a man made out of spirit with a blood  axe . He started walking towards them
“Go go go ,” said Dave . Dave trips  and Jerry dives in front of Dave.  Jerry’s last words were , “RUN!”
