Spooky Scary Dolls

Spooky Scary Dolls

Once upon a time in 1901 there was a small shop in London that made dolls. There was this one day a little girl walked up to a window to find lots of names written in chalk. So she had a little look around and found a piece of chalk. There was a big blank area so she wrote her initials on it.

She finished writing her initials and she heard this faint squeaky noise from behind her. She turned around to find a doll displayed in a shop window. She had a closer look and realized the doll looked exactly like her. Blonde hair, pink coat, purple gloves and even green eyes. The doll had every single detail that made her look exactly like the girl.

She tried opening the shop door but it was locked, so she threw a snowball at it and started to walk away. A couple seconds later the door creaked open and she turned at the sound of the door.

As she entered the shop, she spied the doll now sitting on the table. As she moved forward, she stood on a mechanical doll on a bike that was lying on the ground. The doll started to move and next minute whizzed towards the door trying to make his escape. Suddenly the door slammed.
When she turned back from watching the biker banging unsuccessfully against the door, the doll had moved again. It was now on the shelf, high up. She really wanted to hold the doll that was so like her. She climbed up, stretching out her hand ………. as she touched the doll’s nose she found herself inside the doll only able to move her eyes
As she looked down from the shelf, another doll rose up to be on display in the shop window.

Story based on the movie Alma.
