The Wolf

On a cool winters night in a gloomy forest a shadow appears from behind a huge pine. The shape stops and sniffs the air. His eyes are alert and shining. He has been on the hunt for ages and his stomach growls in desperation for food. His matted fur is no longer white. His ears are ripped from his last battle with an opponent who was fierce and fought with no mercy.

His alerted ears hears a slight rustle of leaves, his beady eyes instantly dart to the sound of the rustling leaves. What he finds pleases him because there is a young buck trying to untangle himself from the intertwined roots of the pine tree. The wolf starving and impatient stealthily sneaks across the dried leaves and pine needles. The wolf pounces and sinks his sharp teeth into the soft tender flesh. He twists the neck of the deer as blood spews out like a fountain.

When the wolf has finished the deer he makes his way down to a stream to wash the gore from his matted fur. He makes his way home....
